The Fairyland Theme Chess Set has chess pieces fashioned in the tradition of Fairies and Imps. This theme
chess set consists of thirty-two hand-painted, poly resin, chess men with a 3" king. The optional chess
cabinet has a built-in storage compartment that accommodates the chess set's fitted tray which provides
individual and protective slots for each heavily-weighted chess piece.

The history of fairies is not so clear. This is probably due to the fact that it is unlucky to speak of such creatures.
The actual word fairy is closest in spelling to that of "fay-erie" which means enchantment or enchanted realm.
Fairies come in all sizes and shapes and with them they carry varying powers. With them, they bring good or ill
luck. Fairies can reside anywhere, but they live in a different realm than humans. Not all fairies are good and
even good fairies can become evil if provoked or tricked.
