Each of SAC's chess sets utilizes the timeless skills and craftsmanship originating from the company's foundation in
the UK. All chess pieces are hand produced and finished in either a traditional brown and cream appearance or
hand decorated with painstaking detail. The chess set sculptures often take many months to complete and every
care is taken to ensure historical accuracy where appropriate. From the artists masterpiece the figures pass through
various casting processes until suitable production molds can be made without losing any of the original detail.
Created by Studio Anne Carlton, these chess
pieces are replicas of the originals which
were discovered on the Isle of Lewis off the
West Coast of Scotland and which are now
housed safely and securely in the Museum of
London and in Edinburgh.
